Derry will receive its festive makeover when the Christmas lights get switched on by a ‘very special guest’ in the Guildhall Square on Thursday 23th November from 6pm.
The highly entertaining free family event marks the start of a fantastic festive campaign and the big man himself, aka Santa Claus, aka Saint Nicholas, aka Kris Kringle, aka Pelznickel, will be in attendance with his real reindeers who will be getting their dinner in the Peace Garden from 5pm - 8pm.
You will also be able to enjoy walkabout street characters, live festive music by Sensation in Guildhall Square and Superstition in Waterloo Place. There will also be a Sound of Light Procession and a Wonder Windows Trail too!
