Limavady singer-songwriter returns with a new video for his latest release ‘Better Off Alone', which is the first single taken from his upcoming EP 'The Blame'.
The four track EP will be available on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and all other major online stores and streaming services from Tuesday 31st January and we caught up with Emmet to get the low-down on his new release.
He started by telling us about the new video. “The music video was recorded in a very strange area of Binevenagh Forest, just below the mountain. I was walking about with the forest with the lovely guys at Re-Act Productions when we came across a very oddly-positioned circle of old wooden tents. They were like something from the Blair Witch Project, we had to film it there” he said.
Emmet went on to tell us about his new track. “Better Off Alone’ is about the no-man’s land between realising that a relationship isn’t going to work, and actually parting ways with someone. Although it’s quite a sad time, there’s also something very liberating about recognising that there’s more to life than falling in and out of love.
“It was recorded in the gorgeous Start Together Studios in Belfast, and was produced and mixed by the amazingly talented Feargus Murphy. Feargus and I were in the same mind-set throughout the whole process, and the end result is something unlike anything I’ve heard before” he said.
