The Nualas are back in town for what is considered to be their “most dangerous show ever.”
With sold out performances from Dublin’s Comedy Festival to the Edinburgh’s Fringe - and everywhere in between - the Nualas promise a night of side splitting laughter caused by a host of new songs with even higher harmonies than before.
Now Nuala, Nuala and Nuala are back and have embarked on a nationwide tour of their ‘Lock up your husbands’ show.
“Some people call our humour sophisticated silliness. I’d describe it as surreal,” says Blonde Nuala who is played by Sue Collins. “When people come to our gigs they enter the Nuala World. It’s as simple as that.
“We’re a very bookable live act. We’re not cynical, and we’re not edgy. But we appeal to a wider audience as well as comedy circuit-goers. While our humour is surreal, it’s also accessible. The mundane problems of being a forty-something mum, for instance, might get the odd mention. But we work hard at the act, getting the material right; some of our songs take months to write” Sue continued.
This is why the Nualas have previously sold out six consecutive runs at the Edinburgh Festival and played extended theatre seasons in London, Dublin and New York.
The Nualas will take their harmonies and sequin dresses to the Playhouse on Saturday 20th February at 8pm with tickets from £8.
