Each September, St.Columb’s Park explodes with excitement as the In Your Space Circus gang descend for their annual feel good family festival, the Carnival of Colours.
2018 will be no different as the festival celebrates 11 years of entertaining the masses by showcasing the best in international and local artists.
The two day Circus, music and arts festival has become an annual staple on the festival calendar and they have a few surprises up their sleeves during this year’s festival which they state will be a “cheeky wink to the past and a big salute to the old vintage Circus style.”
This year, local festival goers can expect: “Two Big Top Circus Tents, musicians, an outdoor cinema showing circus movies, workshops in circus skills, Arts and Crafts, drumming, storytelling and graffiti, face painting and balloon modelling, and also a range of delicious food stalls to suit even the grumbliest belly.”
Saturday night will see a Stendhal and Celtronic Takeover at the Carnival of Colours, transforming the big top tents into music and cabaret stages. Sunday night will feature a gorgeous and fun Family Cabaret with some little snippets of what you will see over the weekend as well as some hilarious local acts and artists alongside In Your Space’s incredibly talented Circus Kids.
