St. Patrick’s Day is almost upon us and it would not be Derry if we didn’t go overboard. We love a good festival don’t we?
Over the years the city council have transformed the much loved Irish celebration to that of a family fun filled festival which is inviting to every community within the city. With an action packed schedule of events, the St. Patrick’s Day Spring Carnival will be running until Sunday and will attract tens of thousands to celebrate in the festivities with this year’s theme being ‘Land of the Little People’.
The fun will be spilling from the streets into every nook and cranny of the city, from the Guildhall Square to the Peace Garden, from the Tower Museum to St.Columb’s Cathedral, the little people will be coming out to play.
It will be one of the busiest weekends of the year for our pubs and clubs with a host of incredible entertainment planned to help people drown the odd shamrock or two, or three, or four…
